Central Valley Manufacturer Casting Largest Girders in State History for California High-Speed Rail

SACRAMENTO, Calif – Con-Fab California is a Central Valley manufacturer of structural precast, prestressed concrete located in Lathrop, California. They are under contract to build all girders for bridges and overpasses within Construction Package 1, the first 32-miles of the California high-speed rail project. That includes what Con-Fab says are the largest girders ever cast in California. In the video above, Con-Fab Chief Engineer Brent Koch explains the companyís role in the high-speed rail project, just how big these girders are and how they are all-American made.

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The California High-Speed Rail Authority today announced that it has reached a settlement agreement with the County of Kern, which will result in the dismissal of California Environmental Quality Act litigation over the Final Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Statement for the Fresno to Bakersfield project section of the high-speed rail program. This agreement demonstrates the commitment between both parties to work together to bring high-speed rail service to the region along with small business opportunities and jobs for Central Valley residents.
