Road 27 Overcrossing

WHAT:

Construction is currently underway on an overcrossing that will safely take traffic over future high-speed and existing BNSF rail lines outside the town of Madera.

WHERE:

The overcrossing is located on Road 27 between Club Drive and Avenue 17 in the area of Madera Acres.

WHY:

The overcrossing will allow Road 27 traffic to move freely over existing and future rail lines, eliminating an existing at grade crossing. This will improve safety for both vehicle and train traffic.

TIMELINE:

Construction began in October 2016 and is expected to be finished in the fall of 2017.
