Bay Area to Central Valley: Partially Revised Final Program Envionmental Impact Report (EIR)

The California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority) prepared the Bay Area to Central Valley High-Speed Train (HST) Partially Revised Final Program Environmental Impact Report (EIR) to address the November 2011 Town of Atherton court rulings regarding the 2010 Bay Area to Central Valley HST Revised Final Program EIR.  To comply with the court rulings, the Authority circulated a Partially Revised Draft Program EIR for public comment for 45 days, from January 6, 2012 to February 21, 2012.

The Authority considered the Partially Revised Final Program EIR and related decisions at a public meeting held on April 19, 2012.  At this meeting, the Authority received a staff report and public comment on the Partially Revised Final Program EIR and adopted Resolution #HSRA 12-17 which:

On July 24, 2014, the California Third Court of Appeal issued a decision finding the Program EIR fully complied with CEQA on three issues that had been disputed in a lawsuit challenging the Authority’s earlier 2010 Revised Program EIR, including the ridership model, the range of alternatives, and assessment of vertical profile options for San Francisco to San Jose.
