NEWS RELEASE: High-Speed Rail Releases May 2021 Construction Update

FRESNO, Calif. – Today, the California High-Speed Rail Authority released its May 2021 Construction Update highlighting the progress being made on the nation’s first high-speed rail project. Highlights include new work happening at the Ventura and Tulare Street underpasses and at the Elkhorn Avenue grade separation. The update also features progress along all high-speed rail construction packages.

The Authority currently has 119 miles under construction within three construction packages. Design-builder contractors Tutor-Perini/Zachry/Parsons, Dragados-Flatiron/Joint Venture, and California Rail Builders have 35 active construction sites with more expected to open in the coming months.
