The California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority) Small Business (SB) Program along with the U.S. Small Business Administration (U.S. SBA) Sacramento office will host a “Meet the Small Business Liaison” virtual workshop on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. 

The Workshop will cover:

  • What is the California High-Speed Rail Project?
    Learn the project’s purpose, scope, current status, and what’s ahead. How can a small business become part of this large infrastructure project? Understand how procurement works and where opportunities are posted 
     
  • What certifications does a small business need?
    Review commonly requested registrations and certifications that may apply and how to get started.
  • What pitfalls should small businesses avoid?
    Avoid common issues such as incomplete submissions, missed deadlines, noncompliance requirements, and partnership missteps.
  • What services and training are available to small businesses?
    Learn about technical assistance, workshops, and resources that can help strengthen your readiness for public-sector contracting.
