MERCED, Calif. – The California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority) on October 23 brought together more than 200 attendees representing small businesses for a Diversity and Resources Fair held at UC Merced that included networking with more than 30 prime contractors and a student engagement panel for a discussion surrounding the nation’s first high-speed rail project.

NEWS RELEASE: California High-Speed Rail Authority and City of Brisbane Reach Settlement Agreement
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority) and the City of Brisbane have settled the City’s lawsuit regarding the high-speed rail project. “This settlement reflects the significant efforts of two public agencies to develop a path forward for the public which ensures we will carry out our responsibilities in a collaborative and open manner,” said Authority Board Member Jim Ghielmetti. “I’m proud of the work accomplished. It moves us forward to getting high-speed rail into the Bay Area as soon as possible.”

NEWS RELEASE: Authority Board of Directors Selects New Chief Executive Officer to Lead Organization to Passenger Service
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The California High-Speed Rail Authority’s Board of Directors has appointed Ian Choudri as the next Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the program. The announcement was made today after the Board met in closed session in Sacramento. Choudri currently works as Senior Vice President for HNTB corporation and brings more than 30 years’ experience in the transportation sector, including working on high-speed rail projects in France and Spain.
