Earlier this month, several members of our Authority staff and the Board of Directors, including Chairman Lenny Mendonca, participated in the Governor’s “Regions Rise” Economic Summit in Fresno.

While we focus extensively on the status of our work in the Central Valley, there is a lot of discussion underway regarding where we are with the broader program and what’s next.

While the Board did not meet in August, I provided a CEO Report to Board Members which was also made available on our website. I want to highlight some of the progress that occurred between the July Board meeting and the meeting in San José.

The purpose of this monthly CEO Report is to keep the Board and the public apprised of important events and milestones related to the high-speed rail program. Although there is no Board meeting in August, I want to inform Board members of recent progress on a number of important fronts.
