CEO’s Efforts to Advance the Nation’s First High-Speed Rail

California High-Speed Rail is at a critical juncture, and the Authority acknowledges the challenging path ahead and the need to be laser-focused on the efficient use of limited resources.

The Authority is looking at how we can enhance project delivery, performance, and future commercial value. One strategy we are advancing includes connecting high-speed rail to the Southwest High-Speed Rail Network to connect the Bay Area and the Los Angeles area, and ultimately Las Vegas.

Objectives going forward under new leadership are to secure sustainable funding, drive efficient use of limited resources and funds, and streamline operations within the Authority’s organization to transition to a project delivery structure.
