​The Authority’s Board of Directors certified the Final Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Statement (Final EIR/EIS) and approved the approximately 145-mile project for the San Jose to Merced section in April 2022, which includes San Jose Diridon Station.

Updates would include:

• Modification of two existing platforms to accommodate high-speed rail trains
• The addition of up to two pedestrian concourses to access the high-speed rail and Caltrain platforms
• Access improvements around the station
  

The Authority, 随着 the Diridon station partners, Caltrain, the City of San Jose, Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC)， 和 VTA have been working together to develop a comprehensive plan for the Future of Diridon Station. The partnership is focused on accommodating the expansion of passenger rail service, including high-speed rail, and improving the station’s integration with existing service， 和 the surrounding neighborhood to support economic and community development.
